I leave Romania to go back home tomorrow! I have been in Bucharest for the last month working with the organization Anchor of Hope. Their focus is on the orphaned kids here in Bucharest. I have had an amazing experience with the kids! I worked with abandoned babies at a hospital, younger children at an orphanage, and with all ages of kids at orphanages set up in apartment style. At the baby hospital, I got to hold and just love on the sweet babies that do not get enough attention to thrive. At the orphanage there are about thirty kids under five years old that I played with, colored with, and just loved on. The kids there are super crazy and so awesome. In the apartments, there are six children in each apartment. Some have just toddlers, some have just teenagers, and some have a mixture. It was fun to get to know the kids and hang out with them. I also had the opportunity to go to the mountains of Romania and see Dracula’s castle! It was a pretty cool experience.
The people who work with Anchor of Hope are doing great things here for the Lord in Bucharest! It is going to be hard to say goodbye, but after only being home for five days in between the Philippines and Romania, I am ready to be home and see what God has planned for me next. Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
In the Picture is Me and sweet little Simona. She is one of the girls from the apartments that I got to spend a lot of time with laughing and being crazy. Today we took her out to the mall and bought her a whole new outfit! She had the biggest smile on her face when we walked out of the store and was walking around like a model when she changed into her new dress.
